Open enrollment for health insurance 2024 starts on November 1, 2023 and ends on January 15, 2024. This is the only time of year that you can enroll in a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace (also known as Obamacare). If you miss open enrollment, you may still be able to get health insurance, but your options will be more limited.
During open enrollment, you can compare different health plans and choose the one that best meets your needs. You can also change your existing health plan if you find a better one.
If you are eligible for Medicaid or CHIP, you can enroll in those programs at any time of year.

- You will need to provide some basic information about yourself and your household, such as your name, date of birth, income, and household size.
